Jakarta, Thursday, June 5, 2025 – Mutu Institute (PT Forestcitra Sejahtera) and Korea Testing Certification Institute (KTCI) officially established strategic cooperation through the signing of an agreement in the context of human resource development in the halal sector based on the Indonesian National Work Competency Standards (SKKNI).
Signing of Agreement
This agreement was signed by Kim Youn Hwan, Director of Korea Testing Certification Indonesia, and Wahyu Riyadi, Director of Operations of Mutu Institute. This signing is the first milestone of collaboration between the two institutions in supporting the improvement of workforce competencies in the halal sector, in line with the increasing need for certified professionals in the halal product assurance ecosystem, both domestically and in the face of the global market.
“This collaboration is part of Mutu Institute’s commitment to strengthening the development of human resources competency in halal sector in accordance with Indonesian halal regulatory. We are optimistic that this collaboration will produce a real positive impact on the halal industry and give beneficial added value for both Mutu Institute and KTC,” said Wahyu Riyadi.
Support from KTC Indonesia
Meanwhile, Kim Youn Hwan stated that KTC Indonesia is ready to fully support this cooperation by providing technical support, international experience, and collaboration in the implementation of credible training and certification.
“KTC Indonesia sees great potential from this collaboration, especially in strengthening the halal product assurance system through strengthening the competence of halal supervisors and auditors according to national standards,” he said.
The scope of this cooperation includes the development of an SKKNI-based training curriculum, the implementation of technical training for halal supervisors and auditors, as well as support in the implementation of competency tests and professional certifications.
Future Expectations
With this collaboration, Mutu institute and KTC hope to contribute directly to accelerating the achievement of national halal certification targets and strengthening the competitiveness of Indonesian halal human resources at the international level.
